Mayor Purzycki brings back Small Business Success Series

Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki has announced the return of the popular Small Business Success Series, an eight-week course that can help aspiring entrepreneurs start or grow a business. The course includes information about writing and carrying out a business plan as well as one-on-one business plan counseling.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for current business owners – or those who wish to start their own business – to network with peers and learn some of the best practices related to business development,” said Purzycki. “Small businesses are the backbone of our City’s economy because they provide much-needed job opportunities and goods and services to the public. I am pleased that Wilmington is able to again offer this valuable program and I encourage those who have either developed or undeveloped business goals to attend.”

The Small Business Success Series is sponsored by the City’s Office of Economic Development. Classes begin on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, and will be held every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Hercules Plaza, located at 1313 Market Street, in Wilmington.

The fee for the series is $75 for Wilmington residents and businesses, and $100 for non-City residents and businesses. Interviews for enrollment begin this week and run through March 13. Space is limited, and applications are considered on a first come, first served basis.
