Mayor Mike Purzycki and the principals of The Buccini/Pollin Group and BPGS Construction yesterday celebrated the topping out of The Residences of Mid-Town Park and the Mid-Town Parking Garage.
Topping out is a builder’s rite held when the last beam is placed atop a rising structure.
The $75 million project includes 200 apartments in two buildings connected by a pedestrian bridge, 12,000-square-feet of retail space and a 511-space parking garage, the first subterranean garage in the city
The parking garage portion of the project will be delivered in the first quarter of 2018, with the apartments ready during the summer months.
Rob Buccini, co-president of Buccini/Pollin, said the project created 363 construction jobs.
