MacArthur fellow to speak at Delaware Arts Summit

MacArthur Fellow Liz Lerman will speak about collaboration across disciplines when she delivers the keynote address at the 2017 Delaware Arts Summit on October 30.

The choreographer will also discuss her own critical response process, a feedback system designed to help creatives move their work forward, in a workshop that requires pre-registration.

The summit will start with welcomes from Paul Weagraff, director of the Delaware Division of the Arts, and J. Mack Wathen, chair of the Delaware State Arts Council, and a performance by Fearless Improv from the City Theater Company.

Workshops will include presentations on public funding for the arts, intentional practice, audience engagement, using the arts to dismante ageism, volunteer engagement, sensitivity and engagement, and Lerman’s workshop.

The summit is scheduled from 8:45 a.m to 4 p.m at Dover Downs.
