The Precisionists, Inc., a Wilmington-based company that connects individuals with a broad range of disabilities to job opportunities, has announced a new partnership with Vertex, Inc.
The King of Prussia-based company, which develops tax technology and services, has committed to hiring local adults with disabilities. The Precisionists will identify, train and support new hires.
“When properly assessed, trained and employed, people with autism are extremely high performing employees in critical and challenging jobs such as administrative business functions, software testing and data analytics,” said Ernie Dianastasis, CEO of The Precisionists. “When you consider that more than 75 percent of people with autism in the country are either unemployed or underemployed, we are making a true difference in engaging a significant, untapped and high-performing labor force right here in the Delaware Valley.”
The Precisionists assigns a team leader to new employees to help them acclimate to their environment and provide ongoing support.
“We are pleased to partner with The Precisionists to offer fair and equal employment opportunities to diverse groups in our region,” said Vertex President and CEO David DeStefano. “Our diversity and inclusion initiative takes into account people with different backgrounds, experiences, cultures and perspectives and we are proud to be an employer that supports this unique talent management initiative.”
