Championing HR
Dockety serves both her current profession through the development of employees at the college, as well as in the community. She has been a member of Society for Human Resource Management since 1987 and has served on the DelMarVa HR board and currently is co-chair of Student Chapters for Delaware State Council. Previously, she has served as Diversity Chair, Workforce Development Chair and presented at DE SHRM State Conferences. She has also taught as an adjunct instructor for Wilmington University since 1997, teaching a variety of courses in Human Resources and Business Administration.
Champion Impact
Dockety consistently networks with other professionals on behalf of her students and colleagues. She is a cheerleader for the HR profession, both as a supporter and encourager to help others achieve their best. Lastly, she is an employee advocate and shares a perspective that may open one’s mind to consider transferable skills and talents leading one to his/her most innovative employment. She works closely with community groups to help place individuals in both volunteer and paid positions to gain experience
and exposure to areas of interest.
