Team strategy
The team has created a cohesive working unit to accomplish common goals in the local HR industry. It has worked hard to change a culture of non-support and non-confidentiality to one of total support of faculty and staff with all their benefits, compensation and retirement questions. The team strives for simplified processes for all managers as well as consistent practices and information.
Employee impact
The team has moved the organization closer to automation and self-sufficiency. It posted company policies online for ease of use and implemented an online application system for new hires (it didn’t exist before). The team now runs an annual health and retirement fair for all faculty and staff, inviting current vendors as well as businesses from the area to help support local relationships. It resurrected the service awards ceremony after a four-year hiatus and a Coffee with the President program that brings all new hires together within six months of their hire date.
