Buccini Pollin plans to bring two hotels to the Wilmington Riverfront β a 200-room Marriott Hotel and a 100-room Homewood Suites by Hilton.
The company already has franchise approval for the Homewood, and the Marriott applications is under review. It opened the Westin on the Riverfront in 2014.
The target audience is business travelers, conference attendees and those visiting Wilmington for entertainment events, the company said.
The construction of the two hotels will create up to 200 jobs in Delaware, the company predicted, but no specifics or dates were given.
