The Hotel du Pont has announced a Nouveau Victorian-inspired Lobby Lounge and Green Room Bar, and enhancements to the Green Room dining experience.

While maintaining its historic charm, Du Pont officials said there is a fresher look in the Green Room and new menus throughout each of the dining spaces. New offerings include inventive dishes and mainstays reinterpreted by Executive Chef Keith Miller.

The Café, located off the lobby of the Hotel Du Pont, launched a new menu featuring more casual fare, including new breakfast and an all-day dining options.

The Buccini/Pollin Group bought the iconic hotel in April. The 13-story Italian Renaissance hotel debuted in 1913 as a showcase meant to rival Europe’s best. Guests have included Jonas Salk, John Glenn, Joe DiMaggio, Bill Clinton, Charles Lindbergh, movie stars and royals.

According to David B. Pollin, co-founder of BPG and chairman of hotel management company, PM Hotel Group, the company has spent over $1 million behind-the-scenes and about $400,000 on changes guest can see.

Green Room breakfast and lunch menus were upgraded to provide guests with fresh, new experiences for breakfast and lunch. Specialties highlight regional farms and seasonal flavors while paying homage to Hotel Du Pont classics.

“Our new menus were developed to highlight our focus on local and regional flavors and ingredients, including partnerships with Cassaday Farms in Monroeville, New Jersey and King Farms in Cochranville, Pennsylvania, said Miller.

The Green Room is the oldest continually rated 4-star restaurant in the country.
