(AP) — A public hearing will be held in Delaware next week on an interstate fishery management plan for black sea bass.
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Fish & Wildlife will host the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission hearing on Jan. 3.
The latest draft addendum to the plan proposes alternative regional management approaches for the recreational fishery. It also includes an option for coastwide management of black sea bass recreational fisheries should a regional approach not be approved.

The hearing will be conducted at 6 p.m. in the DNREC facility in Lewes.
Public comment will be accepted through Jan. 22.
