Grow with Google to host workshops in Dover and Wilmington

Google will host free ‘Grow with Google’ workshops in Wilmington on April 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Wilmington Public Library and at the Dover Library on April 25th beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tech company’s economic opportunity initiative aims to help job seekers and small businesses learn the digital skills they need to succeed through onsite instructional training led by visiting Google teams, presenters and coaches.

Senator Tom Carper and Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester will open a small business workshop at 12:00 p.m. in Wilmington with remarks highlighting the importance of computer training and digital skills.

Grow with Google is on a national tour in partnership with America’s libraries. The tour will host digital skills workshops in libraries in all 50 states and will aim to support libraries’ digital skills offerings on an ongoing basis. Three quarters of public libraries assist patrons with job applications and interviewing skills, and 90% offer basic digital skills training.
