Gary Stockbridge elected DSCC Chairman of the Board

WILMINGTON ““ The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce elected Gary R. Stockbridge as their new chairman of the Board of Directors. Stockbridge is region president of Delmarva Power, an Exelon company. He succeeds Salvatore J. “Chip” Rossi, Bank of America.

“The Chamber is in great hands with Gary Stockbridge as the new chairman. He is a well-respected business leader who I know will guide all of us in working together to shape the future for all Delawareans,” said Rossi.

Stockbridge joined Delmarva Power in 1997 and was named president of Delmarva Power in 2005. Stockbridge has more than 35 years of utility experience across all aspects of the business.

“It’s an honor to be elected to this role. I look forward to serving our members and advancing the business environment in Delaware,” said Stockbridge.

He is the board president for the Workforce Development Board in Delaware, appointed by former Gov. Jack Markell and currently serving under Gov. John Carney; state chair of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for Delaware; president of the board for United Way of Delaware; chair of the Delaware Vision Coalition of Delaware; chairman of the advisory board for the Chesapeake Bay Council of the Girl Scouts; and chairman of the advisory board for Kingswood Community Center. Stockbridge is also a board member of the Delaware Business Roundtable.
