The Fresh Market will open its first Delaware store in Rehoboth Beach on June 8, bringing 90 jobs to the area.
The store will open in the new Rehoboth Gateway retail development at the intersection of Country Club Road and Route One Coastal Highway.
“We are excited to open our new store in Rehoboth Beach and to expand our reach in Delaware,” said CEO Rick Anicetti.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. on June 8 with activities, including chef demonstrations and food samplings. The first 1,000 customers will receive a sample-sized bag of the store’s gourmet coffee and a reusable shopping bag.
In a written statement, the managers said The Fresh Market is committed to the communities where it does business and employees support local organizations that are important to the stores’ communities and customers. The store will partner with The Food Bank of Delaware, providing regular food donations, and it will feature produce and other items from local and regional growers and producers.
