Free registration open for Delaware Resiliency Summits

The Delaware Resiliency Summits in Wilmington and Rehoboth will focus on emergency preparedness.

There are still seats available for the first free summit, on Wednesday, April 6 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, and the second free summit on Thursday, April 7 at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach.

Michael Powell, a program manager in DNREC’s Division of Watershed Stewardship, will speak on flooding and flood mitigation.

Steven Kegelman, deputy emergency management coordinator for Avon-By-the-Sea, has worked in the emergency management field for more than 20 years, as a front-line responder to an incident commander over complex catastrophic events.

Elayne Starkey, chief security office for the State of Delaware, is a member of the Governor’s Homeland Security Council.

Dan Meadows, a Delaware State Police captain, is responsible for the daily operation of the Delaware Information and Analysis Center.

Chris Cullison, co-founder of ZeroFox, has more than 16 years of experience in the software industry, including cyber-security. He will speak at the Wilmington summit only.

Austin Morris Jr., president of Morris Risk Management LLC, specializes in cyber liability insurance and technology errors and omissions insurance. He will speak at the Rehoboth summit only.

Will Minster is director of business development for Main Street Wilmington. He will speak at the Wilmington summit only,
