Free reception recognizes local artists, writers and musicians
Dover, Del. — The Delaware Division of the Arts Award Winners XVII reception and award ceremony, featuring performances by three of the eighteen 2017 artist fellows, will be held at the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover on August 30.
The free event will feature the work of all 18 artists along with piano selections by Daniel Carunchio, an emerging fellow in music, a presentation by A.T. Moffett, an established fellow in choreography, and a staged reading of work by Aaron Wright, an emerging fellow in playwriting.
Each year, the Biggs Museum of American Art, in partnership with the Delaware Division of the Arts, exhibits the work of Delaware’s individual artist fellows. The Award Winners XVII exhibition on view now through October 22, recognizes the fellows’ combined artistic accomplishments. A list of current fellows is posted http://arts.delaware.gov/iafrecipients/
The event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m.
