WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Officials say a fire at a department store at Concord Mall caused an estimated $150,000 in damages.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael G. Chionchio says in a statement that the blaze happened Thursday afternoon inside Macy’s at the mall in Brandywine Hundred.

The Talleyville Fire Company and several neighboring fire companies were called to the scene.

Chionchio says that while the sprinkler system in the building subdued the flames, smoke did fill up the department store. No injuries were reported.

Chionchio says most of the fire damage occurred in a clothing storage area off the main sales floor.

The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation.
