I would love to work at the newport building. I’m on disability but would like to get back to try working again even if it’s part time. It’s great that job are back in Delaware.

The Airport site would be a logical addition for Amazon, with the Airport’s 7000+ foot runway able to accommodate 737 freighters in the, or soon to be added to, growing Amazon Air fleet. The Boxwood site has a ready-made Intermodal Rail Yard adjacent to it for, again, Amazon’s ever growing domestic container fleet shuttling West coast imports in or East coast imports out. The new Container port in Wilmington would only enhance the chances that small independent or larger, aggressive major Liner Operators will call there directly with the advantage of carrying larger shares of Amazon imports from Europe and Asia, via the Panama Canal and away from US West Coast congestion. There’s even a “direct” rail line from the new port (or the current facility) to the Boxwood site … the containers never have to hit the highway! Probably the most compact Amazon multi-modal footprint nationally.
