Evercore Trust opens today in Wilmington

Evercore, global investment banking advisory firm, opened Evercore Trust Company of Delaware at 300 Delaware Ave. in Wilmington today.

Evercore will offer fiduciary and investment services for high-net-worth families and institutions.

“Evercore Trust Company of Delaware complements our personal and institutional fiduciary capabilities at Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company,” Evercore CEO Ralp Schlosstein said.

“Delaware’s tax and regulatory environment makes the state an attractive trust jurisdiction for many of our clients,” said Jeff Maruer, CEO of Evercore Wealth Management. “The new trust company, which is chartered in Delaware, enhances our national fiduciary capabilities as we strive to set the new standard in financial planning and investment management.”

Darlene Marchesani, chief trust officer and trust counsel of Evercore Trust, is based in Wilmington. She joined Evercore as a managing director from Wilmington Trust, where she worked as a senior fiduciary adviser.
