DuPont has named Jeanmarie F. Desmond as its vice president and controller, effective Aug. 17. She succeeds Barry J. Niziolek who plans to retire in September.
Desmond, who joined DuPont in 1989, was most recently the general auditor and chief ethics and compliance leader. Previously, she spent her career in leadership roles in controllership, investor relations, tax, and financial planning and analysis.
“I’m confident her recent work in modernizing and streamlining our audit organization will benefit DuPont greatly as we move forward with the company’s important transformation efforts,’’ said Nicholas C. Fanandakis, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Desmond earned a B.S. in accounting from Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International.
