Delaware’s State Fair is one of the top-ranked fairs in the U.S., according to the web magazine Smart Asset. It was the only East Coast fair to make the top-10 list.
The fair, which runs July 21-30 this year, was judged third-best in the country based on attendance rates, lineup, prices, average rainfall, number of days.
In order to qualify as a state fair, the website considered whether the fair was a large-scale annual event representative of its state, had agricultural roots and provided food, agricultural events and affordable entertainment for families.

More than 311,000 fair-goers visit Harrington during Delaware State Fair week, the website said.
