Gov. John Carney and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership (DPP) has announced a series of community conversations on economic development efforts in all three counties. The first event will take place Tuesday, February 19 in Georgetown at Delaware Technical Community College.
Carney will join DPP President Kurt Foreman, as well as board members and staff, to provide an update on the partnership’s progress in bringing economic development to the state.
These talks are first attempt by the DPP to engage the public directly about its progress.
Carney signed Executive Order #1 on his first full day in office to create the Economic Development Working Group to explore a new economic development strategy. That effort led to the passing of House Bill 226, which created the DPP plus the Division of Small Business within the Delaware Department of State.
