Delaware panel updates official state revenue forecast

NEW CASTLE (AP) — The panel that issues Delaware’s official revenue projections is updating its forecast as state officials begin budget development preparations for next fiscal year.

Monday’s meeting of the Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council is the first of six that will be held from now through June.

This week’s update will provide state budget officials with an outline of the revenue forecast for fiscal 2018 and the remainder of fiscal 2017, which began July 1.

Budget officials will begin a series of hearings later this fall to hear budget requests from state agencies for the upcoming year.
