Del-One Federal Credit Union contributed $500,000 to Delaware Technical Community College for naming rights to the conference center at the Terry Campus in Dover. As the main meeting and rental space for the campus, the Del-One Conference Center hosts thousands of individuals annually for events such as the Kent County Economic Summit, Gourmet Gala, Chocolate 5K Run/Walk and external meetings.
The contribution will fund scholarships for veterans, general campus needs and renovations to the conference center.
Dion L. Williams, president/CEO of Del-One, expressed his pleasure in being able to support the college in a way that showcases the strong partnership between the two organizations and serves as an example for other organizations. “Delaware Tech and Del-One share a commitment to improving lives in the communities we serve. Many members of Del-One have benefited from the training, education, and programs available through Delaware Tech. This partnership represents two organizations with closely aligned values and missions working together to further strengthen the communities we serve.”
“We’re extremely grateful to Del-One for their generosity, partnership and exceptional support of the College and our students,” said Mark T. Brainard, president of Delaware Tech. “The integrity and solid reputation of the organization and its board of directors make us proud to link their name to Delaware Tech in such a prominent way. This gift also is a wonderful tribute to our 50th anniversary of delivering excellence and changing lives throughout the state.”
The agreement includes naming privileges for a period of 30 years, as well as branded signage.
