In October, the Tower at STAR within the University of Delaware’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research Campus will opento the public. During the design phase, architect Timothy Kiser balanced the demands of university officials and developers alike and created a sleek yet functional design that will serve as the crown jewel of the College of Health Sciences. Additionally, Kiser is working on the redesign and overhaul of the AstraZeneca headquarters site in Wilmington. His plan involves adding apartments, retail, office and outdoor space, making the campus one of the most highly anticipated construction projects in Delaware.

Outside the office, Kiser takes an active role in the community. He served 12 years with the Special Olympics of Delaware. He also coached the boys and girls soccer teams at St. Elizabeth High School. He served as chairman of the Regional Architects Committee for the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Philadelphia Chapter. He is now involved with AIA Delaware and has participated in the ACE Mentorship Program, which mentors high school students in the fields of architecture, construction and engineering.
