What the nominator said: “Stephanie Preece has been instrumental in focusing on legislation that affects her industry while protecting employees’ jobs in this area. She is a co-founder of Gals That Give, which cultivates the local, nonprofit community and to date, has raised more than $140,000 for 26 charities in Kent and Sussex counties.”

Social media platform you can’t live without: Facebook has been my go-to, but Instagram is rapidly becoming the front-runner as of late.

Two words that best describe you: Motivated and genuine.

If you were in charge of Delaware: Given the size of Delaware, it provides the perfect landscape to effect change, as opposed to our larger neighboring states. The number of homeless and hungry children in our state is staggering. We have a responsibility to the community that we work, live and breathe in, so my first action would be to engage the community’s penchant for social liberalism and work to make sure the issue of hungry children is not associated with this great state.

In one sentence, define “success.” Success is undefinable; it is growing and evolving and morphing just as we humans do daily; some days success is closing a multimillion-dollar deal on a land sale, while others it is making sure we have enough diapers until the store opens the next day.
