Shana Williams has made it her goal to help young women achieve their dreams. Williams has turned her passion for fashion and helping others into a project that has flourished in its first year of business. Cecile Boutique, Delaware’s newest prom, pageant, special occasion and homecoming boutique, is where Williams puts her talents on display, working with top evening wear designers to provide her clients unique designs to make them feel beautiful and stand out for any occasion. Named for her mother Cecelia, who passed away from cancer in 2016, Williams sees the store as an opportunity to provide mentorship for all the women who walk through the doors, while creating something her children can be proud of.
This past prom season, Williams converted her love for design into a charitable endeavor, when she provided three deserving young women with a “Fairytale Prom.” She was able to coordinate her efforts with other businesses to ensure a spectacular prom night and organizations have already reached out to her to participate in the 2019 prom season. With this level of enthusiasm from the community, she plans to continue the “Fairytale Prom” in the coming years. She has also used her experience in the fashion and design industry to mentor to several Miss Delaware and Miss Delaware USA candidates, as well as the first African American Miss Delaware USA, Renee Bull, who was the first candidate to finish in the Top 10 in voting.
