Age: 32
Title: Co-Founder
Workplace: The Mill

Robert Herrera is co-founder of The Mill, a co-op workspace where Wilmingtonians can gather and work without the overhead of a stuffy office setting. Herrera’s architectural background made him the perfect candidate for such a space, coming from the prestigious Perkins Eastman firm before relocating back to Delaware, where he has pursued several real estate and development projects in and around Wilmington. Herrera was also fortunate to work as an early contributor for WeWork, one of the world’s largest co-working spaces, which gave him the experience and inspiration to return home and start his own space.

Because the space he runs is so valuable to the community, Herrera happily hosts a series of community-focused events throughout the year, including hack-a-thons, Open Data Delaware, Tapp Social monthly events, the Tapp Social Summit annual event, among others. He routinely spends his time mentoring within The Mill and the community, and offers nonprofits a discounted rental rate, in the hopes of promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Delaware.
