COMPANY: Synchrogenix Information Strategies LLC

What the nominator said: “Kelley Kendle is a sharp and charismatic business woman who is just as comfortable holding court in the boardroom as she is making s’mores over a campfire with her four children. She has a deep, visceral connection with the forces that shape the biopharma industry and a fine intuition that enables her to see and influence market trends before they are full formed.”

Your biggest break: Being a research assistant for my finance professor taught me the value of network and commitment to supporting people he believed in. He got me involved in his research and on boards with professional groups like FEI and Financial Executives International. He also supported my job search and was there for me throughout my career far beyond his role as a professor. It really reinforced the difference one person can make in someone’s life.

Best career advice you ever got: Education is worth a lot, but application and dedication is worth a lot more. Just get started.

Two words that best describe you: Passionate and resilient.

Work/life balance technique you recommend: First and foremost, you must put the time and effort into hiring and nurturing qualified and trusted staff, combined with developing and educating on key performance indicators to support their decision-making. If you have the patience to do so, you can feel confident that you have a team that is making sound business decisions allowing for a solid work/life balance. It’s all about the teams, the people and the system.

In one sentence, define “success.” Success is contributing to and leading an environment where people enjoy, challenge, inspire, and respect one another while sharing in a common goal.
