Jeremy Tucker knows how to get the word out on the right platform, thanks to his time as an award-winning reporter and news anchor for WBOC-TV, the CBS and Fox affiliate serving central and southern Delaware. During his time at the station, he appeared on CNN, Headline News, Fox News, CBS Radio and on TV stations across the country, but now he helps the Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC) communicate its message to provide affordable and reliable power to 95,000 homes and businesses in Kent and Sussex counties. As a member-owned utility company, the DEC “puts people before profits,” and Tucker’s job is to make sure that mantra is loud and clear.
Tucker says he believes in giving back to the community, and proves it by serving as the current president of the CenDel Foundation’s board of directors, working to increase philanthropic giving in Central Delaware. He also serves on the board of the Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation, the marketing committee for the DE Turf Sports Complex, the Broadcast Advisory Board for Sussex Tech High School and is a member of Delaware’s Department of Education Marketing Curriculum Taskforce.
