What the nominator said:
“Greg inspires his students to dream big, plan out how to reach those dreams, and actually pursue them, and his HipHoponomics program, which marries his love of economics and hip-hop music, is proof of that.”
Social media platform you can’t live without:
“Facebook, but I (gladly) lived without all social media until last year. I miss those days, but now I embrace it and see the immense value in it, but also try not to let it dominate my life.”
Biggest break:
“Having a good enough fastball in high school to be recruited to University of Delaware for baseball, where I met my wife, the amazing, beautiful, inspiring, challenging, and visionary woman that is Colleen Caskey.”
Two words that best describe you:
Inspired and joyful.
Work/life balance technique you recommend:
“Practically speaking, exercise frequently, allow time for solitude and reflection, and have the vulnerability to allow people you love to challenge you. Philosophically speaking, to me, to be human is to be created to work, and work to me is a sacred gift from God in this way. It’s my daily ambition to work for something much greater than myself, and if I can have this mindset, I am a healthy person.”
Your advice for the next generation:
“If you ain’t scheming, you ain’t dreaming! My friend Orlando Perez says this, and I find it deeply inspiring (and hilarious).”
In one sentence, define success:
“Success to me means human flourishing; stepping fully into the gifts and abilities I have been given, and through that providing a vision and ability for others to flourish as well.”
