Title: General Operations Leader
Workplace: Seiberlich Trane Energy Services

Since graduating top of his class with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware in 2003, Dave Vanderslice said he has strived to make a positive impact in everything he does. As general operations leader, he has been a major part of the success and growth of Seiberlich Trane Energy Services, where he has worked for 15 years. For this engineer, continuous learning is a must, and so he decided to focus on his professional development and taking classes to prepare for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) exam. He successfully became LEED accredited in 2010.

While Vanderslice oversees a team that works in the field and on the home front, he encourages an open workplace through “Employee Engagement Surveys,” for which he receives high ratings as an effective leader, determining direction, communications and values that have led to an astonishing 44 percent improvement under his leadership. In the office, Vanderslice is also a contributor to the company’s Community Services Committee, which coordinates volunteer opportunities that benefit the Special Olympics of Delaware, the American Cancer Society, the Delaware Mud Run, the Ronald McDonald House and Easter Seals. He is also a member of Delaware Technical Community College’s Innovation and Technology Center board and a member of Service Council.
