Your biggest break: Being named the commander of Joint Forces Headquarters of Delaware.
Best career advice you ever got: Col. Joe Bartel, my mentor, said, “Take care of yourself first and the rest will take care of itself.”
How you give back: Helping start the Boys and Girls Club of Dagsboro and joining the Lighthouse Christian School Board.
Your biggest challenge: My work-life balance, because there are never enough hours in the day to juggle all the demands.
Networking group you use the most: Leadership Delaware Alumni
Work-life balance technique you recommend: One-third, two-third rule: for every one-third you work, you should give back two-thirds to your family, at a minimum.
