Social media you can’t live without: We use social media for our business, but I could live without other social media apps.”¯I do like to use photo stream for sharing pictures and comments with friends and family.
Your biggest break: In 2012, our company made the decision to insource as much as possible, instead of contracting external companies to perform various tasks. It produced the biggest boost for us, as we were able to control our end product as well as increase margins and grow the company.
Best career advice you ever got: There is always something more important going on, so relax, even when what you are working on seems critical.
How you give back: I support Wilmington Christian School by serving on the school board. I also serve at my church in Hockessin, Trinity Community Church.
Your biggest challenge: Not only ensuring that we grow as a company, but that we retain the ability to take on new opportunities while still establishing processes for the routine of our business.
Work-life balance technique you recommend: As much as possible, I try not to bring my computer in the house, so I can spend time with my wife, Wendy, and son, Matthew, in the evenings. Also, I try to play golf once a week.
