GEORGETOWN – The Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) announced it will host its Annual Budget Update and Advocacy Training with Nemours Foundation, the Delaware Office of Management & Budget (OMB), Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families (DSCYF).

This is a unique opportunity for nonprofit leaders and board directors to get “hot-off-the-press” insights from the Delaware departments that do the most of the contracting with nonprofits, according to DANA officials.

Program highlights include an overall state budget update from the state departments, moderated by George Meldrum. Representative Harvey Kenton, Joint Finance Committee member will provide perspective from the JFC. Participants will also gain tips from Kim Willson and Verity Watson of Ruggerio Willson. The offices of U.S. Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons will also be represented at the event.

This free event will be held February 17 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the First State Community Action Agency located at 308 N. Railroad Avenue in Georgetown. Registration is required; visit DANA’s website (www.delawarenonprofit.org/events) to learn more or call 302-777-5500.
