Council of State Governments meets in Wilmington next week

The Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference will hold its annual meeting and regional policy forum at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington August 16-19.
The conference will bring state policy makers from the U. S. and provincial officials from Canada together with business leaders and policy experts to share ideas on public policy issues.
It is the largest gathering of state elected officials and provincial officials in the East.
Workshops will address policy issues relating to agriculture, rural development, criminal justice, U.S.-Canadian relations, education, energy and environment, health,
International trade, military and veteran affairs and transportation.
The New-York-based council is the only regionally based, multi-branch organization serving all 50 states, U.S. territories and commonwealths. The program will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and run until Wednesday.
