Wilmington, Del. — U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, and U.S. Representative John Carney today announced the dates of three job fairs this spring:
- Monday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wilmington University’s Dover camp
- Friday, April 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Delaware Technical Community College’s Stanton camp
- Monday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
The Congressional delegation is now looking for companies that have jobs to fill and are looking to hire. Interested employers should contact Senator Coons’ office at 302-573-6345 or via email at workshop@coons.senate.gov. Businesses will be on hand at the fair to meet potential new employees, and only employers with positions to fill will be permitted to attend.
For the third straight year, the delegation has partnered with Brandywine Counseling and Community Services to host the Kent County job fair and will be on hand to provide job seeking skills workshops like resume-writing and interview techniques.
“Our economy is growing, but we need to make sure it’s growing for everybody,” Senator Coons said. “We’ve been hosting these job fairs for four years to connect those looking for jobs with employers ready to put them to work. These fairs are a great opportunity for job seekers to meet with representatives from government agencies, private sector, staffing agencies, military recruiters and more.”
For more information on how to participate as an employer or job seeker, please call Senator Coons’ office at 302-573-6345, or email workshop@coons.senate.gov. Pre-registration for job seekers is not required.
