WILMINGTON (AP) — Gov.-elect John Carney and Lt. Gov.-elect Bethany Hall-Long are releasing the schedule for festivities surrounding the inauguration.

The inauguration ceremony itself will be held Jan. 17 at Legislative Hall, but the festivities get started the Saturday before with a celebration of the arts in Rehoboth Beach. The event at Clear Space Theatre is free and will include works and performances representing the talents of Delaware.

On Sunday, a celebration of the arts will be held in Wilmington. The free event will be held at P.S. DuPont Middle School Auditorium.

Before the inaugural ceremony on Tuesday, an interfaith prayer service will be held at Whatcoat United Methodist Church in Dover.

An inaugural celebration will be held Tuesday night at the Rollins Center at Dover Downs.
