Cape May UAS Conference focuses on business potential of new technology

Cape May, NJ – Nearly 200 people attended the 2nd Annual Cape May NJ UAS Conference on Oct. 13-14, and heard from top federal legislative and regulatory officials, industry and academic experts, in a comprehensive two-day conference agenda. Hosted by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA), Cape May County, and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) – Liberty Chapter, the Cape May UAS Conference was held at the Cape May Convention Hall.
The Cape May NJ UAS Conference is a product of the growing collaboration between industry, academic and government partners in New Jersey to promote UAS innovation and integration at Cape May County Airport (KWWD). The conference provided educational programs and networking opportunities within the diverse UAS community to promote the continued growth of emerging technologies in New Jersey and the mid-Atlantic region.
Highlights of the conference included a drone race expo on the beach, a presentation on drone cinematography, and a Behind the Scenes Look at the Hughes Tech Center.
The 3rd Annual Cape May NJ UAS Conference is tentatively scheduled for October 18-20, 2017.
