With the headline “Merci et au revoir,” Bistro Jacques, a European restaurant in Wilmington’s Little Italy neighborhood, has announced on Facebook that it will be closing after its Mother’s Day dinner on May 8.
The restaurant, which billed itself as a French and Belgian bistro, has been operating at 607 N. Lincoln Street in Wilmington for three years.
Belgian native Jacques Macq and his wife Kelly operate the bistro, which was first known Mona Lisa Euro Bistro.
Diners posted comments on the bistro’s Facebook page this week, lamenting the closing. The restaurant is taking reservations through the May 8 Mother’s Day dinner.
