The Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce announced yesterday that Lauren Weaver will take over as executive director August 7. Weaver is currently the events and member relations manager for the organization, which covers a number of towns in the southern coastal area of Delaware.
The announcement followed the resignation of Kristie Maravalli from the position last week.
“As you know, the Chamber has seen significant growth in the last four years,” wrote Ron Derr, president of the board of directors, in a statement on the transition. “I have immense gratitude for Kristie, Lauren and the entire team. With Lauren transitioning into the director position, the Chamber will continue in its success due to our stakeholders and support of the business community.”
