The courses will teach child development, safe home practices, age-appropriate activities, first aid and CPR.

The three course will take place June 26, June 28, and July 10. Each class will accept 15 students and costs $50 per child.

The Delaware Safety Council is also holding babysitting courses this month. The classes will teach basic skills, emergency action steps, fire safety, choking management and other types of first aid to youth ages 11 to 15. The American Safety and Health Institute certifies the courses.
