Beebe announces firms for expansion project

Beebe Healthcare has selected a number of design, engineering and construction firms for its planned expansion this year.
The downstate healthcare system plans to use what’s called Integrated Project Design for the construction of new facilities and services at three of its campuses. The approach allows firms working on the expansion to collaborate and communicate in real-time, while working with Beebe and members of the community throughout the process.
Wilmot Sanz, a mid-sized firm based outside of Washington D.C., will provide architectural services. Whiting-Turner Contracting Company will handle all aspects of construction management. Leach Wallace Associates, Inc will handle mechanical engineering.
“These partners have demonstrated a commitment to a true partnership mentality that will assure success. Their out-of-the-box thinking will bring true innovation to the delivery of healthcare to the growing number people we serve in our region,” says Rick Schaffner, executive vice president and COO of Beebe Healthcare.
The new facilities include a new specialty surgical center in Rehoboth and a new Beebe Health Campus and cancer center in Millville.
