Bayard Williams, a realtor with RE/MAX Town & Country in Wilmington, has been installed as president of the 3,900-member Delaware Association of Realtors (DAR) for 2018. The event took place at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington and included the installation of the organization’s 2018 officers and directors. Their terms will officially begin January 1.
As president, Williams will preside at all meetings of the DAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and he will serve as an ex-officio member of all state association committees and work groups. Williams will also act as the official spokesperson for the association on issues related to the real estate industry and local housing market in Delaware. He also will represent DAR and its members on the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Board of Directors and at local, state and national functions.
Williams was named Delaware’s Realtor of the Year in 2015 and served as president of the New Castle County Board of Realtors in 2016. As 2017 DAR president-elect, he was a member of the executive, public policy, and finance committees. Williams is a member of the Delaware Association of Homebuilders, a sponsor of both KW Care and Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids, and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
