Bank of America Foundation awards $875K in grants to Delaware nonprofits

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded $875 thousand in grants to 23 Delaware nonprofits. The grants will support job skills training, networking opportunities and will provide educational and mentoring programs.
“Low and middle-income individuals in our community are struggling to find jobs,” said Chip Rossi, market president at Bank of America.聽 “Providing access to job training and post-secondary education, especially for the at-risk population, helps our state become a stronger, more stable and better place to live and do business.”
Delaware nonprofit organizations awarded funding include
- 路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Boys and Girls Club of Delaware for workforce education and mentoring for middle school and high school students in Wilmington.
- 路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Challenge Program to help teens and young adults access employment training and job placement.
- 路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Connections Community Support to expand a聽 workforce development initiative to more than 200 ex-offenders and veterans.
- 路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Delaware Technical & Community College Educational Foundation to continue a job placement program for students who complete credential or certification programs.
- 路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Tech Impact for operating support for ITWorks, a technology training program for at-risk young adults
- Other organizations that received grants include the Arc of Delaware, Autism Delaware, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware, Christina Cultural Center, Communities in Schools of Delaware, Delaware Council on Economic Education, Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, Delaware Futures, Delaware Special Olympics, Easter Seals Delaware & Maryland鈥檚 Eastern Shore, First State Community Loan Fund, Goodwill Industries of Delaware & Delaware County, Jewish Family Services of Delaware, Jobs for Delaware Graduates, Junior Achievement of Delaware, Latin American Community Center, Pratt-Corcoran Association for the Delaware College of Art and Design, and Public Allies Delaware.
