AG office holds workshops on foreclosure
Attorney General Matt Denn’s Foreclosure Prevention office is holding a series of workshops for homeowners facing foreclosure or who have fallen behind on their mortgage.
The workshops will be held in Dover on May 15 and Wilmington on May 16.
“We want to help Delawareans protect their homes by connecting them with the resources and information that they need,” said Denn in a press release. “These workshops are a way to learn about alternatives in one stop.”
Each workshop will provide information about government assistance programs, the Delaware foreclosure timeline, and how to stay aware of foreclosure frauds and scams.
“We have worked for years to help Delawareans get back on their feet, aiding thousands of families with foreclosure prevention assistance and counseling,” DSHA Director Anas Ben Addi said. “Helping families keep their homes is one of the best things we can do to strengthen our communities.”
From the press release:
“The foreclosure workshops will be May 15 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., with educational sessions at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., at the Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Avenue, Dover, and May 16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with an educational session at 5 p.m., at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street, Wilmington.”
