Touted as stress relievers, coloring books for adults feature intricate patterns, cats, and titles like “Color Me Calm.”
Some give templates for meditation; others include coloring patterns from “beginner” to “expert.”
Marketers attribute the book’s success to their therapeutic appeal as a de-stressor, an emerging clamor for a non-tech activities to help adults unwind and the need for a creativity outlet for adults who have no artistic skills.
