19th Annual Superstars in Business holds awards ceremony

The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce yesterday held the award ceremony for its 19th Annual Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards, which honors companies with model approaches to business and management.

The ceremony took place inside the Hotel du Pont in downtown Wilmington. Ben du Pont, co-founder and vice president of Zip Code Wilmington, was the keynote speaker.

The State Chamber has given the awards out since 1998, in honor of Marvin S. GIlman, a respected small business owner of a home-building company.

31-69 Employees: Karins & Associates
70-150 Employees: Duffield Associates, Inc.

Award of Excellence recipients:
Nonprofit: Delaware Humane Association
1-30 Employees: Whisman Giordano & Associates
31-69 Employees: Cover & Rossiter
70-150 Employees: Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs
