10 New Castle County Vo-Tech students graduate with jobs waiting

U.S. Senator Chris Coons on Tuesday joined 10 high school seniors as they signed “letters of intent” to join the workforce upon graduation.

The New Castle County Vo-Tech School District recognized 10 students from Delcastle, Howard, Hodgson and St. Georges.

A slew of local employers have committed to hiring from the graduating class. These include Carpe Vita Nursing Care, Delaware Business Systems, Dr. Gladnick, DDS, Hair Cuttery, High Tech Machine, M Davis Inc., Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health, Nickel Electric, Pierce Total Comfort, Sobieski, Inc. and Space Con, Wayman Fire Protection, Inc.

The students specialized in a range of technical trades, from carpentry to cosmetology. The ceremony took place at The Sharp Center in Wilmington.
