Thompson Island win silver at national beer festival
Thompson Island was recognized in the Mixed-Culture Brett beer-style category for ‘Never Been Wrong’, which was aged in white wine barrels for 6 months with wild yeast. This process created a unique, tart quality with notes of oak and orchard fruits.
The Brew Team will celebrate their win in the Thompson Island Beer Garden on Thursday, September 28th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
“I am so proud of what the brew team has accomplished,” Nelia Dolan, Vice President of Southern Delaware Brewing, said in a statement. “When we opened in 2019, our goal was to brew World Class Beer. The recognition of our peers at the GABF validates that we are doing just that.”
