Last year, a Wilmington-based startup, The Trash Porters, won the grand prize. Chris Boozer started the waste management valet company to help local residents with their trash needs. The company comes direct to doorsteps once every weekday to collect trash and twice a week to collect recycling, properly disposing of it off-site.

Businesses can apply for the competition by July 31. For more information about the competition, click here.
