State Auditor York releases opioid settlement tracker

DOVER – Delaware Auditor of Accounts, Lydia E. York, has released a Prescription Opioid Settlement Tracker on the State Auditor’s website. This tracker details how Delaware’s $63,419,263 settlement from the National Opioids Settlement is being allocated.

The public can track the disbursement of funds from the Prescription Opioid Abatement and Remediation Grant Program, including the total amount awarded and the funds distributed to date by each organization.

“Our office is committed to increasing transparency across all of Delaware’s State government,” Auditor York said in a statement. “This tracker is an example of my staff finding an innovative way to achieve that goal. Thank you to the Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission for working with our office to release this important tool to the public.”

The Prescription Opioid Settlement Tracker is the second such tool created by the State Auditor’s Office, the first being a tracker for American Rescue Plan Act Funds distributed in the State of Delaware. Both trackers utilize data from First State Financials, the State of Delaware’s accounting software.
